Where the Hell is Bernie Williams?! |
Monday, May 14, 2007 |
Honestly, where is he? Hiding in a recording studio somewhere? Watching the games on TV and crying like the rest of us losers?

Nice one. A very good question about Williams - I haven't heard zip about him since March, either - and the scurvy line was priceless.
On a more technical note, the lighter look to this one was a definite improvement over the first one.
Keep up the good - and entertaining - work.

I heard that Bernie scored some tickets to Tampa & Trenton games to watch Clemens pitch. Probably just a rumor though....

I've been wondering the same damn thing. He just disappeared after that whole spring fiasco - can't blame him for not wanting to have to try to prove himself over kids half his age. But what happened? Maybe he's at the bar around the corner playing his guitar...

Bernie's in Argentina with Elvis and Tupac, LOL.
I disagree with you, on a serious note, I think the Yankees *do* need him on the roster. He may no longer have the skills to be a full-time starter but no reason Williams can't start 50+ games and be a left-handed pinch hitter off the bench.
It's a crying shame how the higher ups just dissed him. He still had some game in him and should've gotten an invite to spring training.

Bernie is like the doctor in Field of Dreams. He crossed the lines and despite how much we want him back he is on his way to be part of our fondest memories. I just want Bernie Williams Day to be at Yankee Stadium 1 not Yankee Stadium 2

rhymeister, Bernie wasn't dissed. He's become a limited player with limited skills. He shouldn't be taking up a roster spot that a young guy could be using.
And Mientkiewicz and Phelps should be jettisoned, and a younger, better hitter should be in their place.
