There has been a lot of speculation about whether the two biggest names in the steroid scandal -- Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens, of course -- will be playing in 2008, and while neither of them have contracts, Bud Selig doesn't have any interest in stopping them from suiting up. After 22 years of juice-filled bliss, the Giants decided that they were dunzo with Bonds last year, almost surely because of the cloud of suspicion that surrounds him. Despite this rejection, Balco Barry has stated time and time again this winter that he is not hanging up his cleats. No, he wants to torture another team with his poor attitude and the bad press that goes along with him. As for the Rocket, after the 2340988 fake retirements I think we've all come to expect him back no matter what he says ("I'm going to retire this year" really translates to "I am going to play golf until June, get bored and crave attention, and pitch again.") In fact, Clemens even showed up to the Astros Spring Training camp and pitched batting practice to the minor leaguers last week.
