BEST UPDATE EVER 3:40pmEDT:

Ken Singleton: "It's like Snakes on a Plane situation; bases loaded and nobody out!"

First person to find it on YouTube wins a prize.

------

The game is blacked out on Extra Innings, so there shall be no live blog today. I'll be watching on MLB.TV, but there's not much point in live-bloggin' with the delay and whatnot.

See you this afternoon with Sidenote Saturdays!

Is mlb.tv having any free previews? I hate to pay for another service to just watch occassionally.

"Dandy Andy is all set to pitch tomorrow - whew!"

How'd that work out for you, moron?

Ouch, that was uncalled for, Anon.

Don't pile it all on the pitching. The offense can't get their bats off their shoulders. Its gonna take a few more days for Mr April, er, A-Rod, to get into his spring groove. Elder Statesman/Step-Captain Posada is still feeling the effects of his shoulder and probably isn't swinging at 100%, but called a decent game behind the plate. El Gato Grande Giambi has been moving well for a guy who's finally dropped his juice weight and gotten his piggies fixed so he's not afraid to move on them anymore. Robinson will get into his groove here soon. El Capitan Derek "jete'd" his single or two, so he's happy that his stats are taken care of.

Its the fifth game of the season, people. These players have been in - from all reports - physical, not just "spring" training since the middle of February. And its 85 and sunny down here in Florida right now, what's the weather like in the Bronx? Give it time.

And if you're gonna rag on a blogger for writing something mildly entertaining and expressing her opinion, on her own little street corner of the interwebs, have the juevos to start your own blog and see if you can do better.

(I think that I went off on a rant there.)
