 After a week riddled with bad Yankees mojo, from Sheffield's impending surgery to the Yankees 4-game losing streak, the Yankees Chick was pleased to stumble upon some sappy tidbits. Cano, Cabrera and 2-time cancer survivor Darryl Strawberry paid a visit to cancer patients at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey last week, posing for pictures with the kids, signing autographs and doing cheer-up duty. Strawberry offered a survivor’s perspective the patients, encouraging them to think positively and letting them know that he knows how they feel. Cano was particularly affected by the visit and vowed to continue visiting kids.Labels: do-gooders, happy time |
