Yankees fans have a unique affection for Bobby Murcer, and the organization along with Yankees Universe have given their full support to him through his battle with cancer in recent years. Last week it was reported that his brain cancer may have returned, but a biopsy performed Monday proved that he is in the clear. When the MRI turned up a suspicious area, doctors said that it could either be another tumor or simply some scar tissue that formed after the radiation treatments he underwent, and after examining the biopsy it was determined that it was simply scar tissue.
