Regardless who your team is, they had juicers, maybe even big name franchise guys. If you don't believe that then you are dumber than Selig for thinking he has no blame in this. I loved how he tried to put this all on Arod.

 

I could care less about PED's. Im all for banning them and testing, however, I really don't think the stuff these guys accually did were that big of a deal.

Maybe Im wrong, I don't care. They are cleaner now and the Bombers are stacked.

Great article from SI back in June of 1979. Like I have been saying, steroids goes back, back, back...... (and by most peoples current views....) all records are GONE!

The problem is that people are always going to look for an edge. Steroids back in the day was harmful, so they banned them.

During my amateur sports career, everyone was looking through the GNC to find the edge. Little by little these have been banned.

They aren't that bad. But, I don't care if they want to ban it and Im 100% against anyone who broke the rules. However, Im not going to say anything A-Rod or Sosa or Pettitte did was only because of it.

I hate to say it, I don't think A-Rod helped himself any with this press conference. Hindsight is 20/20 and looking back I think he should've stopped after the Gammons thing. In fact, I don't even know if he should've done the Gammons' interview.

A-Rod's problem is he has the wrong people whispering the wrong things in his ears. The way this whole thing should've been handled was the day after the news broke A-Rod should've called his own press conference sat a table with a microphone by himself for somewhere from 5-10 minutes to read a prepared speach that could be summed up as: "Yes I used steroids, I made a mistake, I regret it, I regret that I was caught doing it but I've learned my lesson. I'm not answering any questions because I've already answered the only important one. Judge me how you want. My focus is on winning a World Series."

Unfortunately, A-Rod doesn't think this way and this whole mess has just gotten a lot worse because the NY media is not pleased with the answers they got.

 

steroids are against the law. if you broke the law, you would be punished, a-roid breaks the law and he gets a $gazillion dollar contract, and some of you people are cool with that?

mlb needs to release the rest of the names.
