Let me be the first to say - JOE TORRE MUST BE FIRED. I thought it was time before the season and his putrid use of the bullpen as me even more convinced. You don't use Mo, Mo gets rusty.

No fault to Joe (except for the yearly overuse of his "trusted" arms in the bullpen). Don't fault Mo either. I thought the pitches he threw were fine. Aside from the Varitek hit, Coco's triple and Cora's single were bloops that just found Boston favor with the baseball powers to be. Fret not over Mr. Sandman. Let's not forget the start of the 2005 season (yet another A-Rod MVP year), Rivera started it by blowing the first 2 or 3 games... to the Red Sox. Just watch when things begin to heat up, and Mo goes back to his untouchable self. Just watch.

Wow, that has to hurt. Great performances by Petitte and A-Rod spoiled by mismanagement and awful bullpen pitching from the Bombers. And now the Sox have two rookies to look forward to feasting on the rest of the weekend while the Yanks get Beckett and Dice-K. Life is good!
