Top Ten Tuesdays: Get The F Off My Pitching Mound
Tuesday, February 12, 2008
The Yankees have made some ugly signings over the years. This is not to say that other teams are immune to busts and lack of foresight, but over the course of my lifetime it seems that the Yanks take the cake (I don't like cake) when it comes to acquiring pitchers that prove to be huge busts. HUGE, disappointing, borderline insanity-inducing, busts. Feel free to shed a tear or two. I know I have.

Top Ten Biggest Pitching Busts I've Witnessed In My Lifetime*

10) Mike Stanton
9) Andy Hawkins
8) Jeff Weaver
7) Kei Igawa
6) Randy Johnson
5) Jaret Wright
4) Kevin Brown
3) Farnsworthless
2) Hideki Irabu
1) Pavano

*Technically I did not "witness" some of these as I was born in 1983 and obviously just a wee schoolgirl... but you know what I mean.
