Through the power and magic of YouTube, a video surfaced this week of Pedro "Who's Your Daddy? Oh Yeah, I Remember Who" Martinez and Hall of Famer Juan Marichal participating in a delightful cock fight (must... resist... sexual... jokes...) down in the DR a couple years ago. The "sport" (hobby? What would this activity be classified as?) is legal in the DR, so the backlash for the dudes adds up to nothing more than some outrage from PETA (and what DOESN'T fire those nutcases up, really?) and subsequent promise from the MLB that the league certainly does not condone animal cruelty - in case you thought otherwise. Whew! For the record, neither do I. The video has been taken off YouTube, so don't get too excited and/or incensed at the prospect of seeing the two honorary soltadores getting in on the fighting action. I hope they at least ate the roosters that lost. Put them to some delicious use.

Granted, cockfighting is legal in the Dominican, but wouldn't you think these guys would have enough sense to stay away from stuff like this? Nothing good can come out of it when your name is associated with animal cruelty. Let Pedro and Vick hash it out until one of them dies.
