I gotta say I think it's more disappointing for a record to be tarnished in such a way than a player to ruin himself. Players blow it all the time - hello, Pacman Jones - but you don't see one of the most (if not the most) revered records in all of sports get broken every day by a cheater whom almost everyone hates anyways.

I think the saddest thing about the case with Bonds is that the man was a Hall of Famer before he started taking steroids, but that giant ego of his and the overwhelming need for modern players to get 'respect' made him begin cheating. You guys already make millions of dollars and some of you can even afford to feed your families with it, is it worth ruining whatever integrity you have just to get some sports writers and radio hacks to praise you more often?

And... no. I don't think I've ever said April for August. Getting the date wrong happens more often though.
