Top Ten Tuesdays Vol II: I Hate You
Tuesday, October 16, 2007
It's Tuesday, I've got Ten things, and they are Top. Get it? Groovy.

Top Ten Yanks I Hate
10) Jaret Wright (money pit)
9) Gary Sheffield (batshit crazy and paranoid hater-of-everyone)
8) Kenny Lofton (see above)
7) Jeff Weaver (scowler)
6) Hideki Irabu (nothing but trouble)
5) Carl Pavano (steroids; overall suckage)
4) Kyle Farnsworthless (dumbass)
3) Bubba Crosby (waste of roster spot; was rude to me in person)
2) Bob Wickman (homophobe)
1) Kevin Brown (steroids; wall-puncher)

Did Bubba Crosby spit on you from a grassy knoll because you and a rotund friend heckled him from the outfield bleachers?

Wait - how the hell did Pavano end up going so high!? after all the crap you've given him - he can't even crack the top-3?!

I should have prefaced it by saying that this particular list was not in any order. There's plenty of hate to go around....

kevin brown's time with the yanks made it hard to believe the dude was ever such a champ. what a chump.

Raul Mondesei should have made that list. His attitude and disrespect towards Torre always irked me.

Wright always tried hard, even if he stunk. I'd switch those two. Going back further, Ed Whitson, Mel Hall and there ilk might make my list too.

Ugh. Kevin Brown. Surprised by Bubba's name. What happened?

That sucks about Bubba, I always liked him.

-sighs- Just wanted to say...One more win away from yet ANOTHER year of a non-repeat World Series winner. I gotta say, even with the Yankees losing, its refreshing to see new teams raise the trophy. Just as long as it ain't the fuckin sox again. Once was enough. Just incase anyones wondering, if (and I stress, IF) the Indians win the Series, the 2nd to longest streak without a WS will be the Giants. As a club they haven't won since '54, but since they moved to San Fran in '58, they have only been in the WS once in '02. But I'm pretty sure that still isn't has bad as the Cubs who will hit the century mark next season. Who knows? Maybe they'll make it interesting. Anyone for a Yankees VS Cubs WS? Or have we been responcible for breaking one curse too many already?

i thought Lofton appologized and said he was misquoted re: the torre/sheffields thing.

    who knows...

I think we deserve to know what Bubba Crosby did. The guy does have a pretty cool name..it's hard to hate on a guy named Bubba without good reason.

What did Bubba do? Fess up!!!

  • At 12:16 PM, Blogger Yankees Chick said…

he didn't do anything all THAT bad... he was just rude... when they played the dodgers at dodger stadium a couple years back, a whole bunch of people were waiting out where the yanks come out to get on their bus after the game. every single player from a-rod to jeter was extremely nice, shook some hands, etc, EXCEPT BUBBA! he completely ignored everyone - including a small child that begged him for an autograph - and walked right by. he was also the only one besides a-rod to take his own car rather than a bus. some chick picked him up.

so yeah, not THAT bad, but it turned me off to him.

plus that whole smashing into sheff in the outfield thing.

plus the fact that he remained on the roster for so long.

    yeah, not a fan.

    Brian, Brian, Brian,

    You silly mis-guided fool.

Sox win in 7! Beckett power-blasts a gem tonight (tune in and see what a real #1 starter looks like).

Schill brings it back to Fenway at 3-3 and then Dice-K shows the world why the Red Sox paid all that money for him in BIG Game 7.

I know it won't be a choke that will ever match up to 2004 (God that was GREAT...wasn't it?), but it will be right up there with it!

Enjoy the games and enjoy the AL East Champs take it to the World Series!

Now go put your jammies on and brush your teeth....it's past your bed time!

Aaron Boone- other than the homerun that beat the Red Sox he was awful.

Two more: Tony Womack & Ken Phelps
