Farewell Scooter
Tuesday, August 14, 2007
Classic Yankees great Phil "The Scooter" Rizzuto (no relation, thank god, to Scooter Libby) passed away today at the age of 89. An amazing player and popular and hilarious broadcaster (HOLY COW!), Rizutto was the oldest living Hall of Famer and will be missed by his countless fans and all his broadcasting colleagues.

    RIP Scooter.

I remember going to a game in 94 or 95 and getting really drunk during a rain delay and going up to a cop and demanding that he "take me to the Scooter"

Just an icon of Yankee Baseball.

Fun Fact O' The Day

Alfonso Soriano is a huge WWE fan, and after each home run he hits he does John Cena's "You Can't See Me" hand wave. He also remarked that meeting Cena was "like a dream."
