Rest O' the League Round-Up: Volume II, Issue III
Thursday, May 01, 2008
The Yanks have been putting on quite the sad display lately, what with the slacking offense (I'm looking at you, Cano), poor starting pitching (I'm looking at you, Hughsie [insert sad teary-eyed face]), and injuries (I'm looking at you, Jorgie and A-Rod), so let's take a breather from talking about them and look at those other 29 teams. As usual, I'm giving myself just 10 words per team...

AL East Why is everyone doing well here?
Boston: Dear god Dice-K is doing well. I want :(
Baltimore: Are you for real? Methinks no.
Tampa Bay: You'll have no trouble winning 80 at last.
Toronto: Those Red Sox come-from-behinders are annoying, aren't they?

AL Central Watch out for the Tigers after all
Chicago: Love me some do-gooders!
Minnesota: How many hot dogs make this a valuable deal?
Cleveland: Cliff Lee is out of control!!
Detroit: Slowly but surely boosting that record. Thank the Yanks.
Kansas City
: Guillen hitting almost as bad as Cano.

AL West
Liking the rivalry here
Los Angeles: Pitching looking pretty good.
Oakland
: Interesting pickup with Big Hurt...
Seattle: Wladimir? I think the birth certificate peeps typo'd.
Texas
: Just blame it on Bush.

NL East
Another rival-icious division!
Florida: Still on top with $10 payroll. Fun to root for!
New York: Pitching shellacked.
Philadelphia
: Ryan Howard still struggling... and still fat.
Atlanta: Smoltz knows that important news should be delivered via text.
Washington: Cordero down for the count.

NL Central 50% competitive, 50% pathetic
Chicago: Mark Cuban looking into a big purchase.
St. Louis: Record April - will you keep it up?
Milwaukee
: Looking to ditch Turnbrow... wise move.
Houston: Cooper likes instant replay idea. Do you?
Cincinnati
: No run support for Harang: 1-4 despite 2.98 ERA.
Pittsburgh: Where did Nate McLouth come from? So impressed.

NL West Interesting standings lineup here
Arizona: Randy Johnson successful? Didn't see that coming.
Los Angeles: Good work, Torre! Is he your new hero, LA?
San Francisco: You have no offense. How are you in 3rd?
Colorado
: Careful with that deer meat, Barmes.
San Diego
: Get it together dudes!! You don't really suck.
